Wildlife Identification: Commonly seen MAMMALS of Belize

Belize has around 145 species of mammals ranging from Opposums, primates, rodents, felines, ruminants, marine mammals, and bats. Around half of these 145 species are actually bats. Mammals are excellent pollinators, seed dispersers, grazers, population controllers, and bioindicators among other environmental benefits. Economical benefits include eco-tourism and some are even source of food.
